Sticks and Stones....

Oh, ouch, what was that?   Who threw that pebble?   Was that you Little Ryan?   

Little Ryan lives next door – relative to the universe, yes, next door – and he (she? Because Little Ryan prefers to wear a mask) likes to throw rocks at people intending to irritate them and cause harm.   He seems to be an insecure little boy looking for attention, and I’ll bet his mother doesn’t know he runs around the neighborhood throwing stuff at people. I’d even bet his mother had great dreams for him when she gave birth…and sent him to college.   RIT – that’s impressive.  Maybe his mom had hoped that someday he would find a cure for cancer, or help starving children as he surrounds himself in his erudite bubble.   

Instead, you see, Little Ryan likes to make drive-by comments on people’s blogs - all while using a fake ID, except he is not entirely clever...if he really is seeking his "higher education" there at RIT.   He cared enough to read mine and leave me a very inspiring and articulate comment - to a Cartoon (see previous post).   This comment inspired me (thank you, Little Ryan) to go back and visit this post by Rob (thank you, Rob).  It also inspired me to see Ryan as the soul suffering little boy he appears to be.

Little Ryan, it looks like now that you are on your own you may still need a bit of parental supervision.   Well, I am not able to come over there and personally slap your patty for throwing stones; however my Father is happy to step in and give you a guiding hand.   So how about if all my readers – yes, Little Ryan, I have readers who care, just like you cared enough to read and comment – raise Little Ryan up in prayer.   Please join me.

Dear Lord,  We lift Little Ryan up to you.  He screams out to you for your Fatherly love.   With every derisive comment he leaves, he reaches out for your guidance and wisdom.   With every thought and action, he yearns for your grace and mercy.   Little Ryan cloaks himself in anonymity, and hides behind an Institution;  let him find freedom in a relationship with you, Lord.   And for that, Lord, thank you for sending your Son for us, all of us, including Little Ryan.

In Your name we pray, Amen.


And Little Ryan?....go clean your room.
